Eligibility Criteria :
  • Educational Qualification : 
  • For Research Establishment Officer (Grade I)  : M.Tech in Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering and Technology/ Experimental Aerosol Science/ Mechanical Engg./ Environmental Engg./ Atmospheric Science Engineering with 3 years relevant experience/ Ph.D. in related discipline OR Ph.D. in Chemistry.
  • For Research Establishment Officer (Grade II)  : B.Tech in Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering OR B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Material Science and Engineering or B.S.(4 years) in Physics or M.Sc. in Physics.
  • Nationality : Indian

Age Limit : (As on 11.12.2015)

  • For REOs (Grade I) : 35 years
  • For REOs (Grade II) : 32 years
Application Fee : Candidates have to pay Rs.500/- through Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank and valid for at least 3 months in favor of The Registrar, IIT Kanpur payable at Kanpur. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Women/Institute Employees/Abroad Candidates category are exempted from submission of application fee.

  • For Junior Technician : B.Sc. in appropriate field, OR BCA, OR Diploma in Engineering in appropriate field from respective State Board OR ITI with 03 years experience. Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Nationality : Indian

  • For Posts at Sl. Nos.1 : 57 years
  • For Posts at Sl. Nos..2, 3 & 6 : 55 years

Selection Process : The selection process will consist of interview for the post at Sl. No.1 to 4, 6, 7 & 15, written test and interview for Sl. Nos.5,8,10,11,14 &17 and written test, practical test and interview for the posts at Sl. Nos.9,12,13,16 & 18.
