भारत
ने रूस के साथ अब तक का सबसे बड़ा रक्षा सौदा करते हुए एस-400 एंटी
बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल मास्को से खरीदने के लिए 70,000 करोड़ रुपए का करार किया
है। करार का उद्देश्य सैन्य-तकनीकी क्षेत्र में द्विपक्षीय रूसी-भारतीय
संबंधों को विकसित करना है।
2. The
Finance Ministry has appointed chief executives in four public sector
banks (PSBs) — Andhra Bank, Indian Bank, Corporation Bank, and UCO Bank.
Suresh N. Patel has been appointed as MD & CEO of Andhra Bank.
Mahesh Kumar Jain has been elevated from the post of Executive Director
to MD & CEO of Indian Bank. Jai Kumar Garg is the new MD & CEO
of Corporation Bank and Ravi Krishan Takkar is the new MD & CEO of
UCO Bank.

के बैंकों (पीएसबी) — आंध्रा बैंक, इंडियन बैंक, कॉरपोरेशन बैंक, और यूको

3. India
continued to lead the Global Consumer Confidence Index in the third
quarter with 131 points. India is followed by United States (119
points), Philippines (117) and Indonesia (116), according to research
firm Nielsen.

President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s last book about how can new initiatives
like ‘Make in India’, ‘Swachh Bharat’ can be used to unleash country’s
vast potential, was launched at the Indian Institute of
Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A). The book ‘Advantage India-From Challenge
to Opportunity’ has been co-authored by IIM-A alumnus Srijan Pal Singh.

5. Mysuru
(Karnataka) railway station became the first
visually-challenged-friendly station in India after many important
info-objects such as tactile maps of the railway station and train
schedules in Braille were unveiled at the Mysuru Railway station.

years after Punjabi became Canada’s third most common language, it has
now attained the same status in the country’s new Parliament after
English and French following the election of 20 Punjabi-speaking
candidates to the House of Commons.

Pakistan Cricket captain Shoaib Malik announced his decision to retire
from International Test Cricket. He will retire from Test cricket after
playing the third Test match against England at Sharjah, United Arab
Emirates.

ने टेस्ट क्रिकेट से संन्यास की घोषणा की। वे संयुक्त अरब अमीरात स्थित

8. Bollywood actor
Anil Kapoor was selected to be the chief guest of the 46th Indian
International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that will start in Goa from
20 November 2015. On the other hand, film director Shekhar Kapur was
selected to be the head of the jury this year.

10. Manpreet Vohra, a
1988 batch Indian Foreign Service officer has been appointed as India’s
Ambassador to Afghanistan, succeeding Amar Sinha. Vohra is currently
serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs.
